ALLENDALE, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)—QST Consultations, Ltd. announced today it has hired four employees to join QST’s leadership team. Lori Davis, Ph.D. joined as the company’s Associate Director of Statistical Consulting, Laura Hatsis, M.S., as Manager of Statistical Analytics, Becky Budreau, Pharm.D. as Director of Clinical Services, and Sam Torre as Director of Finance.

In her role as Associate Director of Statistical Consulting, Lori is responsible for the biostatistical methodology and development of scientific strategy for handling complex statistically focused challenges within clinical trial design, execution and reporting. Her responsibilities include clinical trial design, randomization design and strategy, statistical method design, sample size and power computation, identification of analysis populations, interpretation of statistical results, simulation modeling and strategic regulatory consultation. Lori has more than 27 years experience as a statistician working in both academic and industry environments.
In her role as Manager of Statistical Analytics, Laura is responsible for the leadership and management of QST’s statistical analysts as well as overall direction and guidance to the statistical activities of the company. She will contribute to and oversee the design of new statistical service processes as well as optimization of existing services to improve efficiencies. Her position is focused on ensuring the highest quality of statistical outputs while striving to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with flexibility, reliability and responsiveness. Laura has more than 10 years experience working in academic and industry environments.
Lori and Laura report to Veronica L. Powell, M.A.S., M.S., Director of Operations. David Van’t Hof, Associate Manager of Statistical Programming, whom has been with QST for 5 years, has also taken on a leadership position within the department and is responsible for the management of our programming team. In her role as Director of Clinical Services, Becky is responsible for the leadership and management of QST’s clinical services group performing the clinical operations activities of the company. Her responsibilities include the oversight of the clinical operations project managers, clinical research associates, management of vendors, selection of clinical sites, budgeting, and management of client relationships. Becky is also responsible for the project management coordination of DSMB meetings including the development of charters, selection of members, and meeting set-up and oversight as well as meeting follow-up reporting activities. Becky has more than 17 years experience working in sponsor and industry environments.
In his role as Director of Finance, Sam is responsible for QST’s accounting operations including oversight of payables and receivables, maintenance of accounting records, and production of financial reports. Sam’s responsibilities also include management of the company’s insurance policies, coordinating tax filings, payments, coordinating financial audits, managing budgeting activities, and analyzing comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Sam has more than 16 years’ experience in the industry, working as a Controller as well as an Accounting Consultant.
